- Remove an original wheel nut/wheel bolt from each wheel of your vehicle. For later changes always remove the wheel lock nut/bolt first and fit the nut/bolt last.
Note: Before attaching the wheel lock, always check whether the thread, seat and shaft/overall length of the original nut/bolt correspond to the Sicuplus wheel lock! - Manually attach one Sicuplus wheel lock to each wheel. Ensure that the coding of your key snaps into the corresponding coding of the wheel lock. Then tighten every wheel lock using the key provided and a torque wrench to the torque value stated in your vehicle manual. To prevent the key provided from slipping or tilting when tightening the wheel lock, exert axial pressure on the torque wrench in the direction of the wheel lock.
Some wheel locks are two-piece. If this is the case, ensure that the movable washer is attached to the lock before beginning with the fitting. Sicuplus does not recommends the use of oil, grease or lubricants on the thread. Turn the wheel manually to check whether it turns freely and that there are no impairments. - Repeat this process for all other wheels. One wheel lock per wheel will suffice for anti-theft protection.
Note: To have your key ready for wheel changes, we recommend storing your key, the original nuts/bolts from your vehicle and your personal key code in its resealable packaging in a safe place in your vehicle.
Do not use impact wrenches for fitting or removal, as these may damage the Sicuplus key and parts of the vehicle. During removal, ensure that the coding of your key snaps into the corresponding coding of the wheel lock. Exert the same axial pressure on the torque wrench in the direction of the wheel lock to avoid damaging the wrench.
After the first 50 km of driving, please check the fit of the Sicuplus wheel lock and, if necessary, tighten it again using the torque wrench.
